Auditions for new play at the Secret Theatre in LIC

leave a comment

My friend and excellent playwright August Schulenburg has a new play going up at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City this Fall.  Read more about it below and if interested in auditioning, email the director Christopher Diercksen, at christopher.diercksen@gmail.com, to set up an audition time (as it says below).  Note that the audition is THIS Friday night with callbacks THIS Saturday afternoon.  Break a leg!

The Secret Theatre’s New Voices program will be producing a workshop production of my play Encryption. You can learn more about the play here, and read the current draft here. Auditions are this Friday, October 18th, from 6 to 10pm at the Studio Space at the Secret Theatre, 4402 23rd St, Long Island City, with callbacks Saturday the 19th from 12:30 to 5:30.

Read the character descriptions here (please note that the ages are more fluid for the 3 actors who play all the other parts), and if you’re interested in auditioning, you can email me to set up a time this Friday, 10/18 from 6 to 10pm. If you’re one of those nice people who forward audition opportunities to other people (and please do), actors who don’t know me should contact the director, Christopher Diercksen, at christopher.diercksen@gmail.com, to set up an audition time.

Here’s more information on the dates, etc:

10/24: First read and table session.
