‘Playbill’ has job listings…?

leave a comment

You know those booklets they hand out at shows that some people collect that say ‘Playbill’ on them? Well, Playbill has a website.

In addition to articles on what’s happening in the theater world, Playbill also has a ‘Job Listings’ link about halfway down the column on the left-hand side of their home page.  Here it is: http://www.playbill.com/jobs/find/

As you might expect, the majority of listings are for theater gigs in New York, but some are for gigs, jobs, and internships in the entertainment industry in New York and beyond.  You can also narrow your search using the fields at the bottom of the listings by category, state, keyword, and date posted.  Usually I don’t use the search fields since I conveniently live in New York and Playbill usually only posts about one to two new pages of listings per day; so eyeballing the new listings is not as taxing as it might be on, say, craigslist.  The listings are updated Monday through Friday, so I’d encourage you to check them every weeknight.

Playbill online also has a ton of information on the latest theater news, so it is an all-around great free resource.
